One Net Business mobile phones
Things to do when you first get your One Net Business mobile phone
When you first get your mobile phone
- Ask your administrator to add your mobile phone to One Net Business.
-
Download the One Net app and install it on your mobile phone.
To use a mobile phone with One Net Business, it must have a Vodafone SIM card. This could be an existing SIM card, or a SIM card that you purchased from One Net Business.
Your One Net Business representative needs to know your mobile phone number so that they can set up your phone for use with One Net Business. When your organisation first sets up One Net Business, this process happens in bulk. You can add individual numbers later too, for example, if you have a new starter. Just speak to your One Net Business representative.
Once your One Net Business representative has set up your mobile phone, it is connected to One Net Business with One Net Mobility.
The One Net app gives you access to your phone book, and you can manage the features of One Net Business easily, for example, setting call forwarding or starting a conference call.
Your two phone numbers
When you use a mobile phone with One Net Business, you get two numbers, your One Net Business number and your mobile number. Your One Net Business number looks like a fixed line number, but you can make and receive calls with it from any device.
Your One Net Business number is your default number, but in One Net Manager you can switch between using your One Net Business number and using your mobile number as the outgoing caller ID from your mobile.

Using your mobile phone
Making calls and sending texts with your One Net Business phone
By default, you make and receive calls with your One Net number, but you send and receive text messages with your mobile number.
You can either use the One Net app to exchange messages using your One Net number, or send standard text messages with your mobile number. If someone sends a standard text message to your One Net number, it won't be delivered.
Using feature access codes on your mobile phone
You can use feature access codes (FACs) on your mobile phone just like you do on your other devices. FACs allow you to:
- Perform call services from your phone, such as picking up a call and pulling a call from one phone to another
- Activate or deactivate call services, such as do not disturb and call forwarding
- Check whether some services are currently active
Using extensions on your mobile phone
With some extensions, when you dial them on a mobile phone, you are redirected to other phone numbers. For example, when you dial an extension that begins with an emergency number, you are connected with that emergency number.
The following groups of extensions cause redirects to other phone numbers:
- 00-09
- 20-99
- 1100-1109
- 1120-1129
- Extensions beginning with 0
- Extensions beginning with feature access codes
To prevent calls to those extensions from being redirected
- Dial <location dialling code of the user's site> <the user's extension>, for example, 66 1120.

Call forwarding

Call forwarding can switch off
When you set call forwarding from a mobile phone, it can sometimes switch off accidentally. This is less likely if you use the One Net app.
The best way to set call forwarding from your mobile phone is with the One Net app.
